Meet Gary

Having spent the last 40 years in the motor industry it has been said that I may well have petrol and oil running through me veins!

My working career started off as an apparatus mechanic, after completing 4 years on the tools I had set my sights on a company car. At that time it was the (Ford Capri) that led me to Ford as a Salesman. I have to say at such a young age to be going to work in a suit and driving a new car, I thought this is for me.

From sales my career has taken me into many different areas of the motor industry.Tyre & exhaust brake and clutch fitting, running a service station, MOT examiner,Working in South Africa in fleet sales, in 1994 I attended the achiever's convention and came third Fleet Sales.Ten years was spent with Mercedes Benz Head of Corporate Sales South Wales.

Over the last 40 years I have seen many changes in the motor industry and in vehicle finance, and customer service, if it were not for customers we would have no businesses.

Lamia the name comes from South Africa and is based on all of the above, many years spent in all areas of the motor industry, this helps us have an understanding of our day to day business, how to run it and understand customers.

We are a people company, not internet, or phone; we deal with you The Customerfor me this is not a job, I own the company.

If we do not look after our customer, someone else will!

Meet Andrew

Andrew, born and educated in South Africa, moved to the Welsh Borders after marrying local girl Michelle a number of years ago. Andrew, can only be described as being "very hands on" with an extensive background in the motor industry.

Having been at both desks, Andrew understands that increased efficiency of spend needs to be achieved whilst keeping both the Accountants and the Sales teams happy!

Andrew brings to Lamia Contract Hire and Leasing vast experience and  a great understanding of how it has become ever more important for companies and individuals alike to get the most cost effective and efficient combination of vehicles and funding arrangements in place with the least amount of hassle.

Andrew can without doubt help you to explore more creative and efficient ways of meeting your needs for new or late used passenger or commercial vehicles.

Meet Anne

Anne was brought up in Wales and attended Art College in Newport. On leaving college she entered business and became a Director at 21 years of age. She moved to the Midlands to take up the role of Operations Director within a Recruitment and Training organization working at board level with both SME's and Blue Chip Companies.

Anne started her own business in 1995 and has continued to work with both large and small companies to the present day. She understands the financial constraints faced by businesses today and is sympathetic to their needs in today's volatile economy. Having returned to Wales to live Anne has partnered with Patrick Long in forming 'Winning 4 Wales', a company offering advice, business services and networking to the wider business community in Wales.

Having always had an interest in cars, Anne has worked with many leading component and automotive manufacturers. She is passionate about helping businesses achieve success and through her past position of President of Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce is become adept at helping companies who demand the increasingly rare combination of a good deal combined with excellent service.

Having met with Gary Lindon and his team, Anne quickly established that Lamia's commitment to offering exactly this combination of value and service means that she can confidently align herself with Lamia Corporate Vehicle Management Ltd.

Meet Patrick

Patrick Long former Head of Ngb2b/ Newport & Gwent Chamber of Commerce/ The South Wales Chamber of Commerce

Patrick became Head of Chamber in January 2001, and tasked with increasing profile and image of the Chamber, following several years of declining business. Following his departure from the Chamber, Patrick and his colleague Anne Morris have formed a Business Services company called Winning 4 Wales Ltd, providing support to businesses across all sectors.

Previous history; Twenty years spent in the Retailing sector, then expanded into Retail Training sector with a private Welsh Company covering South East and West Wales , commenced employment with a multi national Training Company and the Lead Body for the Sewing Industry and responsible for Clothing Manufacturers throughout South, Mid and West Wales.

Patrick has known Gary Lindon for 12 years and has supported Lamia through informing businesses of the availability of new vehicles both commercial and private either through leasing and/or buying.

Patrick says "Gary has many years experience in the motor industry and he is highly regarded for providing a quality of service."

Meet Alex

Alex born in London and lived in Hong Kong for over ten years, moved back to Wales to continue his education. Graduated from Aberystwyth University on 2012 with a honours degree in Law.

Having study law for three years, he decided not to pursue Law as a career and joined the team of Lamia to pursue career in the Motor Industry. Within a year at Lamia, he have gained valuable experience .

Alex is more than happy to assist you in meeting your needs for new or used vehicle passenger or commercial vehicles.

Mike Armstrong

Mike Armstrong recently join Lamia in a role of Business Development and Marketing. Mike is a former Premier Account Sales Director and Head of Corporate Sales for a Large Multi-National Credit Reference Agency. Mike Armstrong has been involved in all types of B2B & B2C Sales for over 20 years. As well as working in the Credit Industry at a Credit Reference Agency (one of the Big 4) for 10 years, Mike also has experience of Sales & Marketing in the Online Retail or E-commerce Fashion / Wedding Sectors, Media & Advertising Sales Industry, Telecoms Industry and the Fast Moving Consumable Goods (FMCG) Sector.

He has over 15 Years of Experience in B2B Sales & Sales Management as well as over 8 Years of Experience in B2C Sales & Sales Management, of which 3 years is in the Joint ownership of an online E-commerce Fashion / Wedding Retail Business (B2C).

The sales, sales management, sales directorship and business ownership experience covers Telesales, Field Sales, Local Sales, Regional Sales, National Sales, B2B & B2C Sales, Exhibition Sales, Conferences, Public Speaking, E-commerce, Web Sales, Key Account Sales, Corporate Sales, IT Technical Solution Sales, Project Management & Consultancy Sales.
